What is a Product Option MOQ?
A Product Option MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) applies to all variants within a specific product option. This means you must order at least that quantity in total across all variants within that particular option.
How to set a Product Option MOQ
Go to the Product Configuration Page by clicking on "Configure" > "Products" in the left sidebar
Expand the parent product to view its options and variants
Find the option row you want to set MOQ for (e.g., the color option row)
Click directly in the MOQ column for that option
Enter your desired MOQ value
The change will save automatically
Example of Product Option MOQ
If you have a t-shirt product with multiple colors and sizes:
T-shirt product (parent)
Red (option) - MOQ: 24
Small (variant)
Medium (variant)
Large (variant)
Blue (option) - MOQ: 24
Small (variant)
Medium (variant)
Large (variant)
Setting a Product Option MOQ of 24 for "Red" means you must order at least 24 red t-shirts in total, regardless of how they're distributed across sizes.
When to use Product Option MOQ
Product Option MOQ is ideal when:
Your supplier requires minimum quantities for each color or material option for specific product group
Different options of specific product group have different production requirements
Options are manufactured separately (e.g., different colors are produced in different batches for specific product group)
How Product Option MOQ affects purchase orders
When you create purchase orders with a Product Option MOQ:
It will warn you the total quantity across all variants within each option meets the minimum
If the calculated need is below the MOQ, you can add the required units to PO.
Different options can have different MOQs applied independently
