What is a Variant Level MOQ?

A Variant Level MOQ (Minimum Order Quantity) applies to a single specific variant of your product. This means you must order at least that quantity of the specific variant when placing an order.

How to set a Variant Level MOQ

  1. Go to the Product Configuration Page by clicking on "Configure" > "Products" in the left sidebar

  2. Expand the parent product to view its variants (click the arrow next to the product name)

  3. Find the specific variant you want to set MOQ for

  4. Click directly in the MOQ column for that variant

  5. Enter your desired MOQ value

  6. The change will save automatically

Example of Variant Level MOQ

If you have a t-shirt product with multiple colors and sizes:

  • T-shirt product (parent)

    • Red (option)

      • Small (variant) - MOQ: 6

      • Medium (variant) - MOQ: 12

      • Large (variant) - MOQ: 6

    • Blue (option)

      • Small (variant) - MOQ: 6

      • Medium (variant) - MOQ: 12

      • Large (variant) - MOQ: 6

Setting a Variant Level MOQ of 12 for "Medium" variants means you must order at least 12 units of each Medium variant whenever you reorder them.

When to use Variant Level MOQ

Variant Level MOQ is ideal when:

  • Different variants have different minimum order requirements

  • Some specific variants are produced in different batches

  • You want precise control over ordering quantities for each variant
