Understanding Bundle Replenishment in Fabrikatör
Bundle products are not displayed on the Replenish Page or when creating a Purchase Order (PO) because, in reality, bundles cannot be replenished directly—only their components can. Instead, we calculate the suggested restock quantity by considering both bundle sales and individual product sales on the Replenish Page.
How Fabrikatör Handles Bundle Components
When managing inventory for products that are part of bundles, Fabrikatör:
Tracks demand for components from both:
Direct sales of the individual product
Sales of bundles containing the product
Calculates restock suggestions for the components based on this combined demand
Shows component products (not the bundle itself) on the Replenish Page with quantities that account for all sales channels
Example
If you sell:
Product A individually: 10 units sold
Product A as part of Bundle X: 5 bundles sold (each containing 2 units of Product A)
The system will:
Track total demand for Product A as 20 units (10 individual + 10 from bundles)
Show Product A on the Replenish Page with restock suggestions based on this total demand
Not show Bundle X on the Replenish Page, as you can't order the bundle from suppliers
Benefits of This Approach
This inventory management strategy:
Prevents confusion between what you order (components) and what you sell (both components and bundles)
Ensures accurate restock suggestions that account for all sales channels
Simplifies the purchasing process by focusing on the actual items you need to order
