Accessing ABC Analysis Settings
To configure your ABC Analysis settings:
Navigate to the left sidebar menu
Click on "Settings" (look for the gear icon)
Scroll down to find "ABC Analysis Settings"
Understanding the Configuration Options
In the ABC Analysis Settings section, you can customize how Fabrikatör classifies your products:
Threshold Values
Fabrikatör uses three categories to classify your products:
A Threshold: Products that contribute to the top percentage of your revenue (Fantastic products)
B Threshold: Products that contribute to the middle percentage of your revenue (Moderate products)
C Threshold: Products that contribute to the lowest percentage of your revenue (Poor products)
The system requires that these thresholds add up to exactly 100%.
How to Set Threshold Values
A Threshold: Enter the percentage for your top-performing products (default is 80%)
B Threshold: Enter the percentage for your moderate-performing products (default is 15%)
C Threshold: This value is automatically calculated as 100% - (A + B)
The interface will show: C Threshold is automatically calculated as 100 - (A + B)
Analysis Period
This setting determines how far back Fabrikatör looks when analyzing your sales data:
Find the "ANALYSIS PERIOD" field
Enter the number of days Fabrikatör should analyze (default is 30 days)
The system will display: Number of days to look back for ABC classification
Recommended Settings
While the default settings (80% for A, 15% for B, and 5% for C with a 90-day analysis period) work well for most businesses, you might want to adjust these based on your specific needs:
Seasonal Business: Consider a longer analysis period (120-180 days) to account for seasonal fluctuations
Fast-Moving Products: For businesses with rapidly changing product performance, a shorter period (30-60 days) might be more appropriate
Custom Thresholds: If you have a large number of SKUs, you might want to adjust the A threshold to 70% to include more products in your top category
Saving Your Changes
After configuring your ABC Analysis settings:
Review your threshold values to ensure they sum to 100%
Confirm your analysis period is appropriate for your business
Click the "Update" button in the bottom right corner to save your changes
How These Settings Affect Your Inventory Management
Once you've configured your ABC Analysis settings, Fabrikatör will:
Analyze your product sales over the specified period
Classify each product as Fantastic (A), Moderate (B), or Poor (C) based on your thresholds
Display these classifications throughout the platform to help guide your inventory decisions
Products with no sales during the analysis period will be classified as "Idle"
Use these classifications to inform your days of stock settings, reordering strategies, and overall inventory management approach.
