Step-1

Let's set up lead times ⏱

What is the lead time?

Lead time is the duration between placing a purchase order and receiving the new inventory at your warehouse. You should consider the production and transit time when defining a lead time.

In Fabrikatör, the default lead time is preset to 15 days. This means that when you create a new account or sync new products, the default lead time for those products is automatically set to 15 days. However, during the setup process, you can customize the default lead time to better suit your business requirements.

How do we use lead time information?

We rely on lead time information in order to calculate the optimal date for restocking a product. The Restock Date is calculated based on the lead times.

How to set order lead time on the setup guide?

During the setup guide, you'll have the opportunity to specify your preferred order lead time. This value will be applied to all products initially and will also be used for any new products added to your inventory. It's recommended to review and adjust this default lead time as needed to optimize your inventory management processes.

How to add a lead time to products?

Just as you did when adding suppliers, first select the products and then click Bulk Edit > Set lead time > Save 👍

Alternatively, you have the option to update lead times on product page or by importing them directly from the Products Page. For additional details, refer to this article.

Here is a 20 seconds video to show you how to add lead times to products from a particular supplier.

To get a quick start, you can select all your products regardless of the suppliers and set the same lead time for all. You can change this any time later.
