Why do my revenue/quantity looks different than in Shopify?

If there are discrepancies in revenue or quantity between Fabrikatör and Shopify, typically two reasons could be encountered:

1- Sales Revenue Calculation

  • Fabrikatör:

    • Calculates sales revenue based on the product price on the sales order multiplied by the quantity.

    • Excludes taxes, shipping, discounts, and returns from the calculation.

  • Shopify:

    • Calculates sales revenue after accounting for taxes, shipping, discounts, and returns.

    • The sales revenue is computed based on the final amount paid by the customer.

2- Tracking Quantity

  • Fabrikatör syncs all products from Shopify.

  • It requires the "Track quantity" option to be enabled at products/variants levels for accurate revenue calculation and total sales quantity.

  • If the "Track quantity" option is not enabled in Shopify, Fabrikatör will not consider the revenue or quantity from those products/variants and will tag them as archived.

  • Restock suggestions will not be provided archived products/variants.

Recommendations

To ensure accurate revenue/quantity in Fabrikatör, "Track quantity" option should be enabled for products/variants in Shopify. ( refer to the screenshot below from Shopify product edit page for guidance )

If you prefer not to assign a specific number to the stock, it's acceptable to input 0 and enable the "continue selling when out of stock" option.
