If you notice discrepancies between your Fabrikatör and Shopify data, there are typically two main reasons:
1. Different Revenue Calculation Methods
Fabrikatör:
Calculates sales revenue using the formula: product price × quantity
Excludes taxes, shipping costs, discounts, and returns
Shopify:
Calculates total revenue as the final amount paid by customers
Includes taxes, shipping costs, and adjusts for discounts and returns
2. Quantity Tracking Requirements
Fabrikatör requires specific settings in Shopify to track quantities accurately:
All Shopify products are synced with Fabrikatör
The "Track quantity" option must be enabled for each product/variant
Products/variants without quantity tracking enabled will be:
Tagged as "archived" in Fabrikatör
Excluded from revenue calculations and total sales quantity
Not included in restock suggestions
3. Warehouse Tracking Settings
Fabrikatör can be configured to track inventory from specific locations:
By default, Fabrikatör may only track your primary location
If you have multiple warehouses or locations in Shopify, you may need to update settings, and set as aggregate all locations.
How location settings affect data:
If a location isn't being tracked, available quantity from that location won't appear in Fabrikatör
This can lead to significant discrepancies in multi-location businesses
Fabrikatör will only generate restock suggestions based on tracked locations available quantity.
How to Fix These Issues
