On the Replenish page, Fabrikatör provides suggestions for restock quantities. When you click on "Suggested Restock Quantity," a pop-up appears, explaining how and why Fabrikatör suggests this quantity.

Calculation Factors

  • Current Stock Count: The current inventory level of the product.

  • Average Daily Sales: Based on forecasting days, Fabrikatör estimates the average daily sales of the product.

  • Lead Time: The duration between placing a purchase order and receiving the new inventory at your warehouse, considering production and transit time.

  • Days of Stock: The number of days you want to cover for restocking.

  • Incoming PO: Any incoming purchase orders during this time.

Suggested Quantity Calculation

Fabrikatör calculates the suggested restock quantity based on the timeline of inventory. Here's how it works:

  1. Deducting Stock Count: Fabrikatör subtracts the stock count based on the daily average sales and considers any incoming purchase orders.

  2. Product Out of Stock During Days of Stock: If the product is projected to be out of stock during the days of stock period, Fabrikatör suggests restocking items to prevent stockouts.

    • Note: If the product is out of stock during the lead time, Fabrikatör cannot suggest a restock quantity because it's related to the order arrival date.

  3. Product In Stock During Days of Stock: If the product is already in stock during the days of the stock period, Fabrikatör does not suggest restocking items for that period to avoid overstock.

Fabrikatör's goal is to suggest quantities that cover the required number of days of stock, taking into account the lead time. For instance, if the lead time for a product is 45 days, ordering today means waiting at least 45 days for the order to arrive. Fabrikatör suggests quantities to cover the days of stock displayed on the graph, ensuring optimal inventory management.
