Once you have set batch sizes in Fabrikatör, Fabrikatör assist you in managing these sizes when creating or editing Purchase Orders (POs). Here’s how to handle batch size requirements:

Handling Batch Size Warnings

When the quantity in a PO does not fit the defined batch size, Fabrikatör will provide a warning. You can address this warning in two ways:

  1. For Individual Line Items:

Click Warning Icon:

  • Locate the warning icon next to the line item that does not meet the batch size requirements.

Round Up or Down:

  • Click on Round Up to increase the quantity to the nearest batch size.

  • Click on Round Down to decrease the quantity to the nearest batch size.

2. For Bulk Actions:

Click Warning Button:

  • Click the Warning button at the top of the PO page.

Round Up or Down:

  • Choose Round Up to adjust all quantities in the PO to the nearest batch size.

  • Choose Round Down to decrease all quantities in the PO to the nearest batch size.

Flexibility in Batch Size

While aligning with batch size is recommended for efficient inventory management, it is not mandatory. You can coordinate with your supplier to adjust order quantities as needed. Fabrikatör provides flexibility to accommodate these adjustments while creating or editing PO.

Note: Suggested restocks on Replenish or Demand Plans are not based on batch size. Fabrikatör recommends quantities based on your needs without considering batch size requirements. The batch size adjustments are specifically for POs to ensure accurate order fulfillment.
