When you split a single purchase order across multiple POs, Fabrikatör helps you maintain clear and organized inventory tracking through a systematic naming approach.

Naming Format

Each split purchase order follows this structure: Original PO Name - Location Identifier - Sequential Number

Key Components

  1. Original PO Name: The initial purchase order number

  2. Location Identifier:

    • Two-letter location code

  3. Sequential Number: Tracks multiple splits from the same PO

Naming Examples

  1. Simple Location Split

Original PO: PO#126

Split POs:

  • Besselstrasse Location: PO#126 - BE - 1

  • California LA Location: PO#126 - CA - 2

2. Locations with Similar Initials

Original PO: PO#12

Split POs:

  • Berlin Location: PO#12 - BE - 1

  • Berlin Warehouse: PO#12 - BE - 2

  • Amsterdam Location: PO#12 - AM - 3

3. Handling Duplicate PO Names

When multiple POs share the same name, Fabrikatör adds a unique identifier:

  • Berlin Location: PO#1 - BE - 1 (1)

  • Belgrade Location: PO#1 - BE - 2 (1)

  • Bern Location: PO#1 - BE - 3 (1)
